Physical Science Beyond the Textbook
A new perspective on physical science will be developed in this course, drawing upon the resources of Engaging Science and the facilities of Science World. Participants will discover, interpret and practice science in personal, everyday ways.
Registration:
CREDIT: Students can register for the course using the Student Service Centre. Note: Those wanting to register in this course for credit must be admitted to UBC and be eligible to register in the session in which the course is being offered. For information about admission, visit the Teacher Education Office website. Click on Updating/Recertification Program.
NON-CREDIT: To register in this course for non-credit (ie, no grade or indication on your transcript of the course), please email Jo-Anne Chilton to request a non-credit application form.

REFUNDS:
Credit Students: Credit courses offered by EPLT follow the same Withdrawal/Refund policies outlined in the UBC Calendar.

Life Science Beyond the Textbook
This course is built on the resources of the Engaging Science
program, the Vancouver Aquarium and the
surrounding ecosystems of the Burrard Inlet. It will provoke
new ways of thinking about life science through a variety of
instructional styles, field experiences and hands-on classroom
activities.
