Becoming a Leader in use of Digital Technologies

The Faculty of Education is committed to becoming a leader in the use of digital technologies for the support of teaching and learning.

The Learning Technologies division of EPLT champions such applications within the Faculty and in a set of strategic collaborations with partners at UBC and beyond. Collaborative projects are coordinated by the Digital Learning Partnership. Some of the current projects include:

  • Facilitating 15 technology pilot projects;
  • Working with Education faculty and the Office of Teacher Education to help teacher education students acquire technological skills and perspectives needed for today’s schools;
  • Making laptop computers more accessible for instructional purposes to faculty;
  • Supporting the Tech Coach program and professional development with sessional instructors;
  • Developing e-portfolios for Master of Education program.
