The Digital Learning Partnership convenes academic, government, corporate and foundation partners to undertake significantly challenging and rewarding applied research projects involving the innovative application of digital learning technologies. Current Digital Learning Partnership initiatives include the following:

- "Epprentice" Initiatives – Digital and New Media Programs for Trades Training in BC.
- Professional Development in Dentistry – Applying social networking tools to enable new forms of professional development for dentists and dental hygienists.
- Educational Programs for Ocean Networks Canada – Creating digital learning opportunities related to "big science" projects.
- Educational Programs for Genome BC – Creating digital learning opportunities related to "big science" projects.
- Digital Testbed for Destination Marketing – Enhancing visitor experience at Whistler using mobile social media.
- Vancouver Pavilion for the 2010 Olympic Games – An exhibition of Vancouver as a "digital city."
- "Instant Networking" of the Learning Experience – An advanced application of social media technologies to enable learners to capture and network what they know.
- Mobile MUSE Network – A partnership of academic, corporate, community and cultural organizations undertaking applied research into mobile social media applications anticipating the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver.
- Project Inkwell – An international industry-led initiative focused on the process and specifications required to achieve one-to-one computing in K–12 education.
- Education 2010 – An initiative to realize the global learning potential of the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver through the application of advanced media and internet technologies.
- ETEC 522 – Ventures in Learning Technology: A completely online course that engages students in authentic, collaborative role-playing concerning the analysis of real-life learning technology ventures.
