Certificate Programs

Professional Development for Educators

EPLT works with the Faculty of Education departments and school districts to deliver professional development programs in BC school districts (off-campus). In a certificate program, students typically complete 5 courses that provide "the basics" in an area of curriculum and practice. The particular courses are often determined in consultation between the Faculty and a school district.

To receive a certificate, each student is responsible for completing the required courses as outlined on the certificate program web page. Once students have completed the requirements, it is their responsibility to contact External Programs & Learning Technologies to request a Certificate of Completion.

Certificate programs may be applicable towards TQS advancement, learn how.

Please Note: Unclassified Students are not eligible to transfer credits from another institution to UBC. However, if you do course work as Unclassified and are subsequently admitted to a Diploma program (not a certificate program), the credits can be transferred as long as the work is within the 5 year time period.
