This program is designed for teachers of textile studies who want to strengthen their knowledge in the area, or for teachers who want to develop expertise for the teaching of textile studies.
Certificates are issued upon completion of five courses selected from the list below. You may choose any combination between the UBC and the Kwantlen courses offered. These courses can be taken for credit or non-credit, and you may take individual courses with no plan to achieve a Certificate.
Pre-requisites: You should have completed at least one introductory course in apparel construction.

PRE-REQUISITE: You should have completed at least one introductory course in apparel construction.
Once you have completed the five courses, you will need to apply for the Certificate from External Programs & Learning Technologies. Certificates will not be issued until we have received your original transcripts from Kwantlen (please have them sent directly to our office as we must receive them in a sealed envelope).
Transfer of Credit - It may be possible for your Kwantlen credits to be transferred to your UBC transcript if you are in a diploma or graduate program (this does not apply to unclassified students). If you are interested in this, please contact eplt.educ@ubc.ca or call 604-822-2013.
