
VRC Program orientation and the first summer course work for applicants admitted to the upcoming cohort will be scheduled on UBC campus between July 2 and July 20, 2012. The next on campus course will be offered in the summer of 2013.
The first course will be CNPS 578B.
There are two sections for this course. Students will be registered by the Senior Program Assistant.

The UBC M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology (focus on Vocational Rehabilitation Counselling) offers an evidence-informed, state of the art, interactive, and engaging graduate program. The program may include orientation and/or seminars at UBC or affiliated clinical sites, with a distance option for those who are not able to attend in person.

There are significant clinical practica courses in Year 2 and Year 3 of the program. The clinical courses can be done with a qualified supervisor with a recognized Master's degree at your location. We are continuing to develop the capacity to provide clinical experience for students at a greater distance.

These prerequisites must be completed prior to the start of this program and are available as online courses at UBC (view list of online courses), with the exception of CNPS 362 and PSYC 300(A). If the coursework you completed is not listed on the UBC website as an official approved prerequisite course, you may apply, on an individual basis, to have your past coursework reviewed to determine if it meets the criteria for prerequisite course work.
In such cases, in addition to the transcript(s) already received, the Admissions Committee also requires that you send a copy of the relevant past course outlines, with an indication as to the course prerequisite for which you are submitting it.

Subject to approval: Program fees will be paid over a minimum of nine (9) installments of $2,433.07 plus applicable student fees, payable in September, January and May of each of the three years. The minimum total program tuition cost for this degree is $21,897.63.
Student levied fees are extra, vary from term to term, and are not necessarily for the duration of the program. The University reserves the right to adjust fees. Tuition fees are in Canadian dollars, are reviewed annually by the UBC Board of Governors, and are subject to change.
