Some people view leadership as the act of leading, but real leadership begins from within. It is about finding your areas of strength not in isolation but in collaboration with others. Leadership should not be defined solely by position. It is the combination of reflection, networking, participating in learning activities, taking on new assignments, experimenting, and stretching your skills and perspectives.
It is our hope that this leadership program will allow you to pursue a journey of personal discovery and development. Leadership means understanding yourself and being open to the perspectives of others. Finding and speaking your voice entails having confidence in your belief system, and developing community involves the willingness to listen to others and collaborate to build a collective story.
